The SAP BRIDGE kit contains all of the necessary components needed to install and use a remote Solar powered wireless Access Point via a high performance PTP/MPTP bridge. This is not a repeater with its associated perfomance problems; but a complete bridge and access point (three radios). The Kit contains the following Commercial grade components:
- 135 Watt Solar Panel
- Battery and component mounting case.
- Wireless Access point (1 Watt).
- Can mount on any pole up to three inches in diameter, Battery pack can be stored up to 20 feet away from mounting area.
- Bridge radio for the Access Point (100mW).
- Bridge radio for your Home Base where the internet connection is (You must provide mounting at home base and internet router connection).
- 15 dBi Antenna and cable for Access point omni-directional or directional if needed.
- All cables for complete system.
Warranites:
- 25 years on Solar Panel.
- 10 years on battery pack.
- 2 years on Wireless radios (as technology changes so can the radios).
- Lifetime Technical support
Maintenence:
- Wipe Solar Panel once every three months.
- Yearly software updates
The purpose of this unit is to allow the set up of a remote access point where running standard power or POE to the unit is impractical. The system is not a repeater it is an access point connected to a wireless bridge. This configuration takes full advantage of your internet bandwidth (unlike a wireless repeater where performance is cut in half ).Setup is simple and direct. Put the pole in the ground, turn it on and connect to the bridge at your home base.
The Kit comes complete with all mounting hardware for the Solar panel, Battery Box and remote units. Optionally there is a tri-pod available that can accomidate up to a 10' 1 5/8" pole free-standing mounting. Tri-pod can be staked into the ground. System can mount on larger towers but will need a custom quote and customer consultation.
DO NOT FORGET THIS ENTIRE UNIT COMES UNDER TAX INCENTIVES FOR ALTERNATIVE ENERGY.
The Federal goverment offers a 30% incentive and that coupled with state and utility company incentives, in most case 100 % of the cost can be offset in current fisical year.
